There is a constant rhythm pulsing underneath the body of his work resulting in detailed, repetitive patterns throughout the figuration and landscapes.
Primitive paintings like those in the famous Lascaux caverns, but with fantasy creatures as motives... Drawing those creatures was somehow totally sensual and relaxing... Nothing big and elaborate, but it has its substance. Thousands of years before Picasso, Klimt or Schiele there were already fantastic artists, who gave the world a timeless treasure...
The painting I found intrigued me because it showed several deer leaping from a cliff or a hillside, directly into the direction of hunters. It was almost as if they were sacrificing themselves for the hunters. The beauty and innocence of it really moved me.
