Expression of Speed MC'J2

Expression of Speed

A graphic homage to speed. Edward McKnight Kauffer, an American expatriate living in London at the time made the most enduring graphic designs of all time. At the time Kauffer was influenced mostly by the futurists from Italy and the Vorticists. It was used widely in Europe for advertising during the 1920's and 1930's.  In the 1970's 'Speed' was rediscovered by a new generation of graphic artist.

This caught our attention from both the movement and colors. The movement shows speed in the picture and  it mainly focuses on the movement on the picture.

This caught our attention, because of the way the light is moving in the picture. Speed and motion is shown in the picture above as the lights either fade into the background or get brighter as they move.

This caught our attention because of the way the light moves with the speed. While everything goes by the light remains as a reminder of how fast the car was moving.

This caught our attention from the way the formula 1 was moving with the light either following it or being around the vehicle from how fast it is going. The light is supposed to show speed on the formula 1 as it moves.

This caught our attention because of the speed and motion of the picture.
