Team Kryptonite - Found Typography

Found typography is basically forming letters out of everyday things. This art is meant for people with keen eyes that can picture the letters in certain objects.

The best type of "found" typography is when objects were not truly intended to be letterforms but with imagination comes a great alphabet. The picture below is a great example of "found" typography. The alphabet is made up of bicycle parts.

Abraham de Balmes made an alphabet out of common items such as a hourse shoe and a knife. Others such as Mervyn Kurlansky made an alphabet using tools in 1977 called Alphabet with Tools.
The purpose of this is to basically fascinate people with the creative ideas that designers come up with.
