Impact - Dust Jackets

In 1833, when the very first book jacket was used, it's purpose was to protect books from the damaging effects of dust and light. The heavy paper wrapped around and folded into the binding was meant to be discarded after purchase.

This dust jacket is a very touching cover for a book. It gives you a glimpse of what the book is going to be about. You can tell that it's going to be about the soldiers and their experiences.  (Artist: Ross Winnekins)

In this dust jacket, the person's arm is through the clock, making is seem like they're searching for a certain time or answer. (Artist: Laura Engstrom)

This is an empowering dust jacket because the artist is exposing herself to everybody, and showing everybody her scars from dealing/ living with CSP. (Artist: SaraChristensen)

As you can tell from the name of the book, you can assume that the artist took the animal out of the book to give you insight on what is going to happen in the reading. (Artist: Sarah Rose Andrew)
