Night Spectaculars MCJ^2

In this case "night spectaculars" refers to the neon lights/ signboards/ lighted billboards/art pieces meant to catch the eye of the passerby.  In the 1920's these spectacles were a brand new marketing idea that lit up the dim streets and illuminated cities everywhere.  The original night spectaculars started a trend in lighting up the night, evolving from advertisements to works of art.

Above is a digitally enhanced photograph of some night spectaculars in Hong Kong.

Night spectaculars do not always include advertisements, sometimes they are simply the spectical of lights at night as seen here.

Here is one that we are all probably familar with, Christmas lights on trees outside.  It is the beauty from the lights that is illuminating the darkness that makes this a night spectacular.
